Balhousie Crieff Care Home is one of the most admired and popular homes within Balhousie Care Group
The town of Crieff is the second largest town in Perthshire, situated in Strathearn on the southern edge of the Scottish Highlands. It has long been a popular holiday resort and still is to this day.
Balhousie Crieff Care Home provides nursing care for 39 residents in an appealing and tasteful refurbishment of this elegant 19th Century home. The home is set in a quiet idyllic elevated position, with an elegant facade and sloping lush lawns. We are just a short walk from all the local amenities including shops, Post Office, chemist, library, GP, banks and churches.
Residents enjoy meals in our large, spacious, modern and airy Victorian style conservatory, which provides panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Residents may if they choose take their meals in the privacy and comfort of their own rooms.
During nice weather residents can enjoy our outdoor cafe style seating area where they sit under large table parasols, drink tea, enjoy a snack, read a book or simply enjoy the surrounding scenery.
Balhousie Crieff Care Home and its dedicated and caring staff provide Dementia Care, Residential Care, Nursing Care and Respite Care.
The care home is very much part of the community. There are popular daily activity programmes to ensure that there is always something for our residents to do. Daily activities include exercise classes, indoor bowls, painting, gardening and jewellery making. Regular events include church services, live entertainment, various day trips, film and quiz nights.
The staff and residents organise a strawberry tea event every summer and proceeds from this are donated to charity.
